Experience Summary
For the past five years, I have been teaching high school art. I have taught classes in basic art, drawing, painting, photography and ceramics. I have extensive experience with classroom and diversity management and coaching as well. Aside from the classroom, I have also become an accomplished painter, specializing in portraits in oil.
Teaching Style
I believe that learning should be an experience that involves exploration and questioning as opposed to direct, traditional instruction. Today's youth require a different approach which requires the development of a personal responsibility toward learning. I have a very "hands-on" approach that drives students to use all of the senses to obtain information and become teachers of the craft themselves.
