Experience Summary
Since junior high I have been focused on the path toward a career in music. I have a BA in Music from Indiana State University, and am currently being considered at the graduate level at Butler University for their Master of Music program. For four years I served as a musician for the U.S. Marine Corps Band Quantico, VA, and traveled across the country performing at a multitude of events. From the last two years of high school, through college and the Marine Corps, I have tutored and assisted beginners to peers in gaining musical understanding, and am dedicated to helping those individuals truly interested.
Teaching Style
I am very dedicated to whomever I am providing instruction. Their success is truly important to me. I am very thankful to all of my teachers for passing on their knowledge of music to me, and I want nothing but to do the same for someone else. I consider myself to be a very approachable, personable person, and I like to get to know those that I am working with. I believe growth stems from trust and confidence in the person providing instruction, and that growth would be inhibited without.
