Experience Summary
I have extensive experience in writing, and I have tutored specifically for the Georgia High School graduation test. I was an intern teacher for five weeks in a special education language arts class. I currently write how-to articles for an online company called Demand Studios, and I have published creative writing. So, when it comes to tutoring on writing or literature in general, I have experience tutoring for standardized tests, and for writing that is creative, persuasive or standard in format.
During my college training, I also volunteered in the writing center offering suggestions to students on how to improve papers.
Teaching Style
I like to guide students to the learning, and have them discover their own learning styles. Then when I know his or her learning style I adjust accordingly. In other words, I do not hard sell right answers or correct responses to students. I try to acclimate the student towards success until they are able to stand on their own, and try to elicit that aha moment within the student.
