Experience Summary
As a student and teacher of history, I have had the pleasure of working both in the classroom and in large, nationally recognized museum education departments. As an historian of a variety of subjects, I have extensive experience in research, working with primary and secondary sources and materials, project presentations in various formats, and writing and editing essays, magazine articles, and research papers, marketing materials. I have been a judge for several years at the state's History Day student competition, and have worked as a substitute teacher in the local schools. I am a parent of two children so I am comfortable working with kids, being creative and patient with their various learning styles, over the past 9 years.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I am available to help your child find academic success. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I am a firm believer in teaching with each student's learning style. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference in a child's education. I strive to make a difference in all of my students' lives.
