Experience Summary
I recently earned my M.S. in a psychology program that was heavily research based. Throughout my coursework, lab experience, and graduate teaching assistantship I have develop a high level of mastery in statistical analysis. This includes inferential and descriptive statistics as well as probability. Moreover, these experiences have provided me with strong technical writing skills due to drafting laboratory results, research papers, presentations, and other literature reviews in various subjects.
Teaching Style
I believe that each person has a different style of learning. Therefore, I try to adjust my teaching style based on the individual. While this is not possible in a classroom setting it is possible in a tutoring situation. Furthermore, I am a big proponent of making the subject personally relevant. Research shows that doing this streamlines the transition from short-term memory into long-term memory.
