Experience Summary
I have been a foster and adoptive parent for many years, and I have provided classroom and one-on-one instruction to students with many learning styles, both as a parent and as a professional instructor. I have worked with many students, ranging in age from young children to adult learners, including those with special learning needs. I have excellent writing, grammar, and research skills, and I have written many reports as part of my own academic training and through my work. I have also developed curriculum for remedial academic instruction for adult learners.
Teaching Style
I truly enjoy teaching children of all ages, as well as adult learners, and I strive to find innovative and creative ways to approach learning for each individual. I always focus on each person's abilities and interests to make the learning experience both productive and enjoyable, and I always look forward to those moments of accomplishment and achievement for each student. People have told me I'm both professional and friendly/approachable, and one of my co-workers has said that patience is my middle name.
