Experience Summary
I have over twenty years teaching in the public and private schools in New Jersey. I have taught English, Math, Social Studies, and Business. I am a NJ state certified teacher in elementary and secondary education and recently completed my special education certification so that students requiring special educational accommodations can be properly recognized and taught.
I have earned a BA in Education, a BS in Business Administration and two Masters Degrees.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is focused on student achievement. Many parents complain that their child does poorly on tests. This is often a result of inadequate teaching practices which fail to recognize individual learning differences in students. My goal in teaching is to individualize the learning process for each student, so that the student understands and retains knowledge and is able to explain what they learned. This process increases their test scores and confidence. Students often require that educational materials be modified or accommodated to meet their particular needs. My experience in special education has shown that all students can achieve if knowledge is properly presented and goals well defined.
