Experience Summary
I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Accounting and a BA in Mathematics, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of mathematics and finance. I also have a master's degree in Secondary Math Education. Over the past 3 years, I have tutored students in math subjects ranging from elementary arithmetic to college level courses (Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability, Linear Algebra, etc.) I also have experience tutoring various Accounting courses. I have a strong passion for helping students reach their full potential in education.
Teaching Style
My teaching style varies with each child since children learn in a varieties of ways. I think that every child has the potential to learn and have academic success. When I tutor a student, my goal is to provide them with the best education possible in the time period I am with them. I try to allow the students to attempt problems on their own and help them understand that it is okay to make mistakes. While students are attempting the problems, my goal is to have them explain their steps so that they can understand the why as well as the how.
