As the son of a retired High-School teacher as well as the brother of one currently, education has always been very important in my life. I've have a lot of life experience. I worked as a tutor for MVCC Community College in Illinois. I have also held an adjunct faculty position at Prairie State College in Illinois. Finally, I attended two years of Graduate school at Purdue University wherein I performed the duty of a paid Teaching Assistant. My strongest subjects are Biology/Science and Mathematics. Teaching Style
I am a natural Teacher. I enjoy individual instruction because it offers me the flexibility to shape my approach to that which is most appropriate for the individual that I am helping. If I see that one method is not quite working by directly interacting with the student I can offer an alternative that can be more effective. When compared to group instruction you can be just as specific as required and not have to use a method that works for the majority but not all of the students. I love the challenges that come with teaching and the immediate rewards of seeing another learn. And not just learn but enjoy learning and the self-esteem growth and confidence that naturally follow.
