Experience Summary
I have taught various science, language and culture courses to students ranging from middle school/junior high school age to professional adults. As a result of my course design and instruction, my students have reached various goals: entering university programs here and abroad, carrying out job responsibilities in professional environments, and enhancing their success in workplaces ranging from construction sites to NASA.
In addition to courses in science, culture, and language, I have honed my skills as a writer and editor. My articles and reviews have been published in professional publications including the American Council of Teachers of Russian, World Literature Today, and the Time Almanac.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is interactive, communicative, and focused on the individual I am teaching. I have extensive experience in one-on-one tutorials as well as small group settings. I work to understand my students' goals and I expect that students will participate in their own success by doing assignments and preparing for our meetings. I use a personalized and personable approach to make the sessions interesting and valuable for the student.
