Experience Summary
As a graduate from the American University of Paris, a private university in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France, I am qualified to be a French language tutor. Not only do I hold a Journalism degree, with a specialty in French, I also completed a French language and civilization course at La Sorbonne in 2004. I lived for many years in Paris and I have worked in two businesses in Paris: Leading Art Galleries (an art publication) and the International Chamber of Commerce (the largest, most representative business organization in the world). While I lived in Paris, I was a nanny for French families, where I helped students learn English.
Teaching Style
I am patient with my students, and I also work hard to make the learning experience fun. My first French teacher at Mountain Brook High school used wonderful methods to introduce our class to the language. She showed us French movies and other interactive methods to get us excited about learning. I have helped many French people in New York become acquainted and helped them learn English. I will always make the learning experience fun, using French cartoons, advertisements, and songs to enhance the learning experience.
