Experience Summary
I have my Bachelors of Science in History and my Masters in Education. I taught 7th - 12th grade students in AP US Government, Economics, Sociology, US History, World History and Geography. I was Sponsor of the Drama Club and committee work included Faculty Scholarship, Honor Society, TAG, and textbook selection committees. I was selected as the Beverly Manor DAR History Teacher of the Year and Summer Governors School Outstanding Educator. I devised Student Success 101 classes, to prepare students for college and work experiences and initiated Career Conversations Program, an opportunity for students to meet with career practitioners to explore career pathway
Teaching Style
I believe in student-centered learning where inquiry is the norm, problem solving becomes the focus, and thinking critically is part of the process. I work to expand their knowledge, ask informed questions, and sharpen their critical thinking.
