Experience Summary
As a recent Liberty University graduate having earned a B.S. in Multidisciplinary studies (emphases in Education, Counseling and Computer Science), and several years teaching experience, I offer students excellent academic support. As a tutor you will find me creative, friendly, motivating, and encouraging. I feel it is important to not only assist in academic challenges, but also organizational and study skills. My goal as an educator is to help your child grow to be a successful, independent student - one motivated from within.
Teaching Style
Learning should be fun and engaging; a necessity for effective learning. Because each student has unique academic needs, I prefer to reach students on their level with a differentiated approach. Lesson plans I create are based on students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences. My goal for students is that they experience learning in a way that builds confidence and self-efficacy. I have also worked with children who have needs in specialized areas. If your student has difficulty resulting from ADD/ADHD, I can help!
