Experience Summary
I am a Chemical Engineer with a Masters Degree in the same field, who worked for 25 years as a full time university professor and researcher, and , in addition to this, I achieved the Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate in Mathematics (grades 6 -12).For the last three years I have been working as a private tutor, helping High School and College students in their regular/advanced classes and preparing them for the SAT and ACT tests. All these years of experience have provided me the necessary confidence and knowledge to teach my students in any math subject. As a plus,being bilingual allows me to teach either in English or in Spanish.
Teaching Style
I am always fully committed to my students’ development but, in return, I ask for the best that they can give me as well. The students usually have demanding homework from one class to another which provides me with valuable math feedback on progress made. Moreover, this math feedback allows me to identify weaknesses in order to transform them into opportunities for improvement.
I make sure that my students understand the related equations, concepts, and practice within a large array of problems.
I know how to create a stimulating and challenging environment that promotes learning.
