Experience Summary
Having to live and work in a real world outside of educational system and academia has given me valuable experience, and a new appreciation for applicability of subjects I teach and tutor.
As a licensed pilot I found a new meaning for knowledge physics and mathematics, which are essential in flight planning. As a real estate professional, I realized that you may have a good product but if you don't know how to package it, your clients will bring their business elsewhere. The same goes for tutoring - if you are a knowledgeable tutor, but your presentation is sub par, the students will not be satisfied. Having said all this, I believe it is also important to have the basic training and credentials to be an effective educator.mathematics I am available to tutor Biology, and Physics at High School and College level.
Teaching Style
I try to excite my student's interest about a topic
before teaching it. It is human nature that we don't
want to learn anything that we perceive as useless for
the future, so every lesson must be relevant and applicable.
When it's not, I will make it into a game, and have an external
motivator associated with successful outcome of an exercise.
It's all about setting attainable goals and rewarding your
students for them in a way they can appreciate.
