Experience Summary
During my research-based M.Sc. study in Microbiology, I TA'ed three undergraduate courses (General Biology & Introduction to Microbiology). Over the years, I have become more aware of myself so that I can learn more efficiently. I scored well on my ACT (33) and my GRE (the grad school equivalent of the SAT - 690 for verbal, 740 for quantitative), and was able to attend well-regarded schools for my scientific training. I have many people to thank for my writing and analytical abilities, especially M. Nunley from Middlebury College.
Teaching Style
I believe a good teacher will be able to convey the information in way best-suited to the student. A teacher can be extremely knowledgable, but the student must be enabled to learn through motivation and having the material accessible/understandable. I want to make sure the student is on the same page as me, and understands concepts/approaches to learning rather than just memorizing the material.
