Experience Summary
As an engineering technician, I recognized that in order to advance my career I would need to possess at least a Bachelor’s degree. To achieve this, I began attending college while working full-time. Over the course of 11 years, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University. I have tutored several people in algebra with great success and I have taught the members of the repair and production departments at my former employer to handle computer-related problems and questions.
Teaching Style
I believe that everyone can learn given the right motivation and explanation of a particular subject. In my tutoring experience, I have guided one person with minimal math skills through a pre-calculus course and another person with problems in addition and subtraction through an algebra course. Both of these people received grades of A in these courses. In my professional I have taken many people with inadequate computer skills and taught them to set up and configure Windows operating systems.
