Experience Summary
I recently graduated, Summa cum Laude, with a BS in Biomedical Engineering Technology, having earned a 4.0 GPA. I also hold an AS in Nursing. I love to learn and as such, I have attained mastery in many core academic disciplines, including: English grammar and composition, Business Writing, Speech, Math through Calculus II, Physics I & II, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Electronics hardware & software, and Microprocessor architecture & interfacing. I am proficient with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Function Generators, Power Supplies, LabView, Multisim, and MatLab. During the last two years of my education I tutored my own peers. I was asked by the dean himself to be his assistant, while still in school.
Teaching Style
Through my many years as a student, I have developed numerous, “Student Skills”. These are skills which enable me to get the best possible results for my efforts. I have three children of my own and two of them consistently make honor roll – the third is going to be a “Star” (hey, what are you going to do?) I tell them that the difference between an “A” student and a “C” student has nothing to do with intelligence. Anyone can be an “A” student with motivation and a mastery of student skills. I teach by example. Having been a nurse for many years, I have developed the ability to remain calm under stress. I am VERY patient. I will give as long as is necessary until the student “gets it”.
