Experience Summary
After I graduated from Regis University all I could think about was how excited I was to make a difference in children. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and minored in Special Education. During the past four years I have observed and assisted teachers in schools, subbed in an accredited early childhood center, and I completed my student teaching in Kindergarten. I currently now hold a professional teaching license for the state of Colorado.
I was also raised speaking spanish. I can speak, read, and write it fluently.
Teaching Style
I love kids! I believe that a teacher should never give up on a child. Every child has the ability to learn. The challenge is figuring out how they learn best. At the age of thirteen I was diagnosed with ADD and learned strategies that helped me retain information, and learn in school. The strategies that I had learned were so beneficial that my struggling started to subside. In my work experience I have been so passionate about getting more and more experience with children.
I believe that this is my chance to give back to students struggling by contributing what I have learned to understand material. I could make a difference by adding enthusiasm, energy and fun to activities, lessons, and exercises with children.
