Experience Summary
For the past 20 years I have tutored and taught classes in French to students at all levels of language proficiency either at Language Schools such as Berlitz or in an academic setting at Arizona State University and the Maricopa County Community Colleges. As a tutor for the Learning Center at Mesa Community College, I provided individual and small group tutoring in English composition and reading, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL).
In addition, administering oral and written tests to evaluate language skills of non-English speaking (K-8) students at schools in the Tempe School District has given me an opportunity and experience in working with children of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and will offer creative training lessons and solutions to enhance the learning process as well as modify learning method as warranted to support all types of learning styles.
In a classroom or tutoring setting, my priority is to create a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for language learning.
I am also a strong believer in providing lots of encouragement and positive feedback.
