Experience Summary
I have been teaching English for over 15 years. After I got my BA in Secondary English Education I joined the US Peace Corps. I went to Poland in 1992. I taught at the local high school, the teacher training college and at a nearby hospital. Then I returned to the USA and got my Masters degree in English. I have taught Freshman Composition at the American University of Sharjah in the UAE and I taught at the Intensive English Programs at Colorado State University and at AUS. Since then, I've been teaching English at the high school level. I am currently working on an endorsement in Social studies.
Teaching Style
I love teaching. I work well with middle school students, high school students and adults. I am very patient, relaxed and easygoing. I work with students at their level and based on their knowledge and interests. I believe in life long learning. I try to view all experiences as a chance to learn something new. I focus on what goals need to be reached and work with the student on how to achieve those goals.
