Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry followed by a Master's degree in plant pathology and have a passion for biology, math, and statistics. I have had lifelong leadership experience working with children ages 9 through 18, first as a camp counselor in high school and later as a tutor in biology, chemistry, basic math, and algebra. Several years into a research oriented academic career I began to miss teaching opportunities and have since sought a career change that will allow me to teach others.
Teaching Style
I believe that each person should strive to find their calling in life and that a good education provides opportunity for each one to explore their individual passions and talents. It is through individual instruction tailored to the needs of each person that students are able to succeed. My goal is to guide students through aspects of the curriculum with which they are struggling so that they may have an opportunity to succeed.
