Experience Summary
As early as 9th grade, I was an educator. I began to volunteer as an elementary tutor, and continued this role throughout my high school career. It was because of this experience that I attended college and majored in English with a minor in Literature & Education. In these areas I have gained many skills such as, essay writing, grammar knowledge, research and creative writing.
I have tutored all subjects on the elementary level, k-12 special needs, and English.
Teaching Style
Through my educational experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students take part in their learning, they will retain more information and be more confident in their abilities. These methods prove to stimulate social, emotional, physical and academic growth. I love working with children and will continue to be a positive influence in their lives.
