Experience Summary
My background is technical, having 20 years in the IT industry. However, my credentials include two technical degrees, both of which are math intensive (BS/ME, BS/CS). In addition, I have a Minor in Mathematics. Consequently, mathematics is a subject I enjoy very much. Over the past year, I have taken and passed the Georgia Assessment for Certification of Educators test in mathematics. Helping people understand mathematics is something I really enjoy doing.
Teaching Style
Helping people resolve problems is something I enjoy doing. I understand that not all people learn the same way, so I am very patient in giving my instruction. I believe that a good foundation is needed when learning mathematics, and attempt to break math concepts down for the student to learn. I really think mathematics is a lot of fun, and try to impress that upon the students.
