Experience Summary
During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports. Since then I have been a math tutor in calculus.
Engineering requires a solid understanding of math from the basics such as algebra and geometry to more difficult calculus and linear algebra. What I have learned in both mathematics and physics is used almost on a daily basis which is why I know the subjects so well.
Teaching Style
I believe in a pretty simple rule; repeat, repeat, repeat. Learning math and physics through example is the best way. Repeating these examples is a sure way to success. They student may not like math or physics, but once they start to do well in it they'll come to love it.
