Experience Summary
One of my teachers inspired me to go into the world of biology which has given me the opportunity to work in the pharmaceutical amd medical industries for over 10 years. Biology is our life and during my teaching tenure I was able to inspire non majors to seek out further biological sciences when they initially had no interest. I have experience tutoring in biology and enjoy working with students to enable them to achieve their academic goals. Science should not be feared and it's my personal goal to relate biology and it's principles to our everyday life.
Teaching Style
I thoroughly enjoy working with students of all age groups and strongly believe in using a student centric model which allows me to actively engage with the students to promote more discussion which has been found to increase rentention rate, and allow the students to transfer their knowledge gained. Every student has their own way of learning that works best for them and it's my job to identify this and help them achieve those academic goals. I believe all students have the potential and must have a safe and encouraging learning environment. My goal is to enable this type of learning environment and help them maximize their learning capabilities with their subject matter.
