Experience Summary
As a Special Educator, I have experience in teaching, planning and supervising with students of all ages within the educational environment. My career resposibilities include collaborating with faculty, students and the community to provide implementation and accommodations for individuals with special needs.I have worked extensively at the high school level,and some college level, in the area of Language Arts.During the past three years I have worked as an individualized teacher as well as a private tutor in various subject matters
Teaching Style
I have always possessed the desire, dedication and discipline to encourage students to achieve success, while actively responding to total school needs. I try to bring out the best in my students by maintaing the learning standards in the environment which encourages positive risk taking and active student particapation. I belive in using a variety of creative lessons by teaching the "facts" but leading the students to synthesize and reflect on issues. Teaching is my passion. Students respond positively to my calm and nurturing manner and consequently work hard at learning.
