Experience Summary
In addition to completing an undergraduate degree in English Writing Arts in 2007, I have finished my graduate degree in Adolescence Education 7-12: English. This year I served as a tutor for Murray Learning Services, tutoring students in Oswego County in both English Language Arts and mathematics. I am also a substitute teacher for Mexico Academy and Central Schools where I have taught kindergarten through 12th grade, including special education classes. I have had wonderful opportunities to put my education to work during tutoring, substitute teaching, practicum settings and, currently, student teaching. I am excited about acquiring my own classroom in the near future.
Teaching Style
Goal 1: To ensure that all students flourish.
The understanding of and appreciation for diversity is key in ensuring that all students flourish. I make it my priority to know my students as well as to provide an environment of acceptance where students may explore literature and their own academic possibilities.
