Experience Summary
In my twenty three years of teaching experience, I've sought cutting edge technology and methodology training. My career has included teaching all grades, K-8, either as the classroom teacher, summer school demonstration teacher, substitute or English language arts teacher. In the last ten years, I've been an English language arts teacher in grades six and eight at Stevenson School in Carmel and in the Sandwich Public Schools in Cape Cod, MA. I've been writing articles for blogs like mommyscompany.com as well as participating in the writing groups NaNoWriMo.org and Shewrites.com.
Teaching Style
Working with children of all ages is one of my greatest joys. My post graduate work focused,and continues to focus, on methods of instruction that create life long learners and teaching from each student's needs and motivations. Students possess multiple strengths, interests, and desires and it is my goal to access those attributes to spark interest and success in learning. All children can reach their potential and beyond when given the opportunity to succeed.
