Experience Summary
I have 10 years of experience as a substitute teacher in all areas of elementary education as well as high school classes.
I have 2 years experience as an in home tutor for a student with physical disabilities.
I have 2 years experience as an itinerate teacher for an environmental education program and a gifted/talented program.
Teaching Style
I love working with children and I believe all children have the capacity to learn. Teachers need to recognize and learn the correct methods to instruct individual students using their strengths to overcome their weaknesses.
I employ various teaching styles based on the student, the subject area, and the goals desired.I am patient, understanding of outside circumstances, and strive to ease the student into the process so they do not become overwhelmed.
I keep the learning environment fun but structured so that the student has the best environment in which to learn.
