Experience Summary
As a graduate of the University of South Florida, I experienced three internships (at three different schools, all three of different age groups) before graduating with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Prior to graduating, however, I had been a nanny and tutor of both elementary and middle school age children for almost 8 years. My favorite subjects have always been Language Arts and Social Sciences, but I also love to create fun and interactive lesson plans for Math and Science. I am currently in the process of earning my Master's in Reading Education, so I am extremely well equipped to assist children (of any age) to help improve their reading skills.
Teaching Style
My passion in life has always been working with and educating children - I've known I was meant to be an educator since I was 7 years old! I am a firm believer in making learning as fun and interative as possible - I know how hard it can be to just listen to a teacher lecture for hours and hours. Few people ever really learn that way. I realize that every child has a different way of learning, so being patient and considerate of each child's needs is absolutely imperative. A kind, caring, and nurturing teacher can make all the difference in a child's life!
