Experience Summary
I have over six years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with students ranging from 3 years old through high school. I have worked with both general and special education students in all academic areas. My level of expertise is further heightened by the three masters degrees I have received from prominent universities in New York City. Two of the degrees are in Education (elementary and special education), with the third in Psychology. Prior to joining the field of education, I worked for a major investment bank as a learning analyst, developing learning curricula for senior management. I also have experience writing research papers and essays in various areas of study.
Teaching Style
I have always loved working with children. Teaching, helping and watching children excel gives not only me, but the children a sense of excellence. I believe each child has a different learning style. One of my best teaching practices is individualizing instruction based on each students' method of learning. At the same time, increasing self esteem and motivation is of equal importance and I do this through praise, reinforcement and giving the student a sense of "ownership" and "empowerment." I was meant to teach, and I love what I do. Therefore, I know I have made a difference with the students I have worked with and will continue to do so with those that I work with in the future.
