Experience Summary
An IT professional for more than 22 years in my country, Venezuela, inside the Oil Industry. Then, I moved to USA, and began to work in the Education industry since the year 2004. Initially, worked at DeVry University, Miramar campus, Florida, as a Adjunct Instructor in the Networking area. Then, in 2007 was hired as a full-time instructor at Florida Career College, where I'm teaching Networking and Math classes. Last year, 2008, began working as an Online Facilitator, for Phoenix University, as an Adjunct instructor. Working with students entering the university or college level, made me to discover that most of them have a huge handicap in Math, for this reason, decided to get teaching certifications in the Math area.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is based on delivering updated and practical knowledge, and then asking the students to appropriate that knowledge, in a way they can use in their lives, so they can receive a positive impact for both, themselves and their working companies. Every student has a different learning style, and different motivations, so my style is to identify those traits, in defining the "how" to deliver the right educational message. I considerer each student as my client, and so far, one of my great satisfactions is that some students evaluate my classes as the best class ever taken for them.
