Experience Summary
I‘ve experienced a multitude of student learning needs and abilities over the past 25 years as a teacher, teacher of teachers, administrator, and tutor. At CSUFresno, CA, I earned a BA in Speech Pathology/Audiology. As a clinician, I worked with all ages. I received my MA in Education Administration from the University of San Francisco, taught elementary combination classes K-6, wrote individualized lesson plans, oversaw IEP’s, district curriculum, supervised student teachers and staff, and wrote district policies for grading and testing. Tutoring areas included K-adult, HD/ADD, mentally gifted, challenged, GED and SAT students. Currently, I am a third year USF doctoral student in Organization, Leadership, and Management Development.
Teaching Style
My teaching style will vary in order to compliment each students' learning mode; tactile, kinesthetic, visual, or auditory. Since openness and trust are necessary components, you will begin a journal to reinforce your short and long term objectives and goals. This will give you visual reference to what I have taught, retaught, or extended. It will also act as a positive tool for your accomplishments in each session. We will focus on you and your needs for success. I welcome input from the school, parent, guardian, or others involved in your educational success.
