Experience Summary
I graduated with a Masters in Education and Special Education from Fordham University. I have experience working in the New York and Florida State Education Systems. I have worked with children from prekindergarten to third grade. My various experiences have provided me opportunities to work with children in many different settings, which include on-site and off-site. I have also worked with children in individual, small group, and classroom settings. My experience has allowed for me to work with students of varying needs, which include children with learning disabilities. Most recently I worked as a Resource Teacher in a Broward County School, helping children in kindergarten to second grade that had difficulties learning to read.
Teaching Style
I believe that all children learn in different ways. I find that it is important, as a teacher, to assess the student and determine what will work best for them. As a patient and attentive individual, I am able to provide the support each student requires to meet their educational goals. I think learning should be a hands-on experience and made exciting for every individual. I always look for new methods to enhance a student’s learning experience. I look forward to the challenge of meeting each student’s individual needs and work with them to meet their goals and help them strive to reach their potential, as a student.
