Experience Summary
As a Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology major at Emory University, a heavy science course load was complemented with a liberal arts education. This well-rounded education equipped me with the tools to tutor students in everything from organic chemistry to proofreading papers.
After graduating from school I secured a job as a kids ski instructor where I was charged with the task of educating the next generation of skiers. My extraordinary return rates indicate that I am a trustworthy and proficient teacher.
I look forward to using my teaching skills and academic background to help others get the most out of their Chemistry, Biology, Math, and English courses.
Teaching Style
A good teacher is able to recognize strengths and weaknesses in his students and create an approach that utilizes the strengths to improve the weaknesses. For instance, if somebody is having trouble grasping qualitative concepts but has a strong mathematical background, employing a quantitative approach to demonstrate the concept would be useful.
Passionate yet easy-going, I understand the need for balance between challenging my students and exercising patience. My students will gain an appreciation of the learning process and acquire the knowledge necessary to be successful in academia and the real world.
