I have also substitute taught ESL at adult schools and tutored students in reading and ESL for Professional Tutors of America.
My work experience and the courses I have taken have given me knowledge, understanding, and a background to effectively teach reading and English as a second language at all levels.
Teaching Style
I love learning and I love teaching. I try to make each lesson fun and interesting. I value and respect each student as an individual and I have lots of patience. I try to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses and address them with the appropriate intervention. I like helping a student build on areas of strength and work on areas that need improving. I like helping students set goals and achieve them and I enjoy the process along the way.
