Experience Summary
I obtained a MS and BS in botany following 10 years of managing retail houseplant greenhouses. I have basic knowledge in a variety of sciences, and i particularly enjoy algebra and trigenometry. I have taught Botany in the capacity of teaching assistant and adjunct instructor at local community colleges and universities. Part of my teaching style involves being available to tutor students, and to offer extra study sessions for exams. I believe i could excellently tutor students in English, math, and sciences.
Teaching Style
My experience is in teaching students at the college freshman level, but i also have mentored interns. My teaching style is a combination of hands on, sort of leading a student through a concept or process. I am an energetic, anecdotal, results-oriented type of teacher, and enjoy helping a student to become adept at problem-solving, or creative expression. Some of my most memorable teachers still serve as examples for me, setting a standard i always aspire to acheive.
