Experience Summary
As an Americorps Volunteer, I provided one-on-one tutoring to students who struggled in reading. The grades I have taught are kindergarten to third grade. My training included methods, disability awareness, and the different areas of reading.
Teaching Style
As a tutor, I believe in catering to each student's needs. By getting to know the students, I utilize materials and activities based on the child's interests and learning style. My goal is to provide a safe, caring, and structured environment to ensure the child's level confidence in learning. I provide a variety of activities to retain the child's interest in the subject and strive to motivate a love of learning in children.
