Experience Summary
I have always found tutoring to be a way to give back to the community. As a Biochemistry student at St. Cloud State University I found that tutoring others and helping others actually helped me also gain a better understanding. I have an extensive background in science and laboratory work. I am currently attending law School at St. Thomas University School of Law and intend to combine my background in science in the field of intellectual property. I have helped or tutored in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Calculus and lower level math classes.
Teaching Style
I find that tutoring is very fulfilling and a good way to give back to the community. I like to break down the subject into terms that a person might find more interesting or easier to understand. I think that building trust is also very important in the tutor relationship. The trust will allow the student to admit what he/she doesn't understand and why they may feel confused or frustrated.
