Experience Summary
As a biochemistry undergraduate student, I was selected to be an organic chemistry workshop leader. As a workshop leader, I meet with students on a weekly basis to complete difficult organic chemistry problems and answer any questions that they may have. In addition to the workshops, I was also asked to be a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, I work closely with professors to establish grading guidelines, and use my knowledge of organic chemistry to grade for a course of over 200 students.
Teaching Style
I am very flexible in my teaching style, and delivery of information. Some students know exactly how they learn, while others are unsure. I will always adapt to an individuals learning style. Although it is sometimes difficult to determine how a student learns best, it is important to recognize these differences among individuals. It is my goal to make sure that each student leaves a tutor session feeling better than when they first arrived. This is often accomplished by personalizing the tutor sessions.
