Experience Summary
I am completing my first year of teaching in North Carolina in a third grade classroom. I have had the opportunity to design and implement lesson plans based on the North Carolina State Standards. I have also had to design lesson plans based on the needs of my students. I have also tutored students prior to my first year of teaching. I have worked with 5th, 6th and 7th grade students in math and reading.
Teaching Style
I would describe my teaching style as interactive. I love for my students to interact with their classmates, teacher and technology. I believe that students best learn from one another and my purpose is to provide the foundation first and guidance. I am a very energetic and outgoing teacher. My personality shines throughout my teaching style. Students are taught that their job is to learn and my job is to teach! I do not give up! If students struggle with a concept we work one on one or in small group. Failure is not an option in my classroom.
