Experience Summary
Over the last 5 years, I've volunteered at my son's schools assisting teachers with continuing education in the classroom. I enjoy the classroom setting and interacting with the kids to determine their level of education. My bachelor degree in the area of mass communication has enable me to interact with kids of all ages. I'm quick to determine the best learning style for each individual student after communicating with them briefly. I have volunteered for over 8 months and I'm now considering returning to school to receive a teaching certification. I believe in my heart I was called to teach.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching children of all ages. In my months of experience, I have learned that most children are visual learners. Therefore, I teach by drawing and showing examples in print. I also use several internet websites that are designed to enhance the development of young readers. I've been told most of my adult life that I'm excellent with children and should consider teaching full time.
