Experience Summary
In 2004, I began serving as a Long Term Substitute Teacher in Douglas County. I taught 8th grade students with Severe Emotional/Behavior Disorders all subjects for approximately seven months. Aferwards, I substituted at two elementary schools in Douglas County, teaching students with learning disabilities. I have served as a Pre-K teacher for 6 months, and I taught within Gwinnett County Schools to students in the 7th/8th grade with Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disabilities. Lastly, I have been with Fulton County Schools for 2 years; I teach students with Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders. My specialty is Reading, as I am highly qualified in this area.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I believe all children can excel; some students require extra practice and patience. I am available to help your child succeed as I am patient and thorough in my teaching. I enjoy teaching students reading strategies in identifying main idea, theme, and supporting details of reading passages. I enjoy instilling within my students a love for reading and learning.
