Experience Summary
I attended Sarah Lawrence College, where I studied English and Spanish literature, Ancient Greek, history and philosophy. I graduated with an MFA in English from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in May of 2008, and I am currently the Provost’s Post-Graduate Writing Fellow in fiction at the University of Iowa. I have three years of experience teaching college students in English and creative writing. I have also occasionally tutored students at the University of Iowa in Ancient Greek.
Teaching Style
My personal pedagogic philosophy ranks above all else thoughtfulness, compassion, individual attention to each student, and a dynamic, interactive understanding of the process of learning. I treat my students with the utmost respect for their intelligence and independence of mind and spirit.
