Experience Summary
As a graduate of western Kentucky University I spent my undergraduate years focused and motivated on preparing my self in a career to help and serve others. I earned a bachelors degree in Sociology and criminology and have background classwork in social work as well. During the past five years I have tutored a number of elementary school students in reading and grammar. I have also taught for the last year as a part-time instructor at a local independent school system.
Teaching Style
i am a firm believer in teaching each child as an individual, suitable to their own strengths and weaknesses. I love working with children and have a very nurturing personality. I treat each and every child like I would my very own. I believe giving a child time, attention and access to the proper tools can make all the difference in their learning experiences. I pride myself in being considered like a mother by a lot of the children I work with. My goal is to help children reach their potential in their learning process.
