Experience Summary
As a college graduate I received many years of excellent education; I learned how to strive for success and follow through with my dreams. Throughout my educational experiences I learned key skills for communication in all forms. While obtaining my business degree I learned advanced math and writing skills. Since receiving my high school diploma I have tutored neighbors and relatives in English, Reading and mathematics. While this tutoring was not in a formal setting, the experience gave me the understanding of different types of learners.
Teaching Style
I believe that children learn through their experiences and a good educator will provide an environment that promotes positive experiences. I believe that it is important to realize that children are living in the "real world" and instead of preparing them for the "real world" a teacher needs to help them live in it. All children learn at different levels and in different ways. Through understanding the specific needs of individual children, adaptations can be made to traditional curriculums and all children can be successful. Ultimately, all children have the capacity to learn, and as educators it is our responsibility to provide the environment best suited for learning.
