Experience Summary
As a Cal Poly Pomona graduate, I was always eager to learn and to achieve a higher level in education. I have two bachelor degrees, BS in Computer Engineering and BS in Electrical Engineering, which helped me gain a good understanding in many areas in Math, Science, and engineering. My grammatical and analytical skills were always as strong as my technical skills due to writing extensive lab reports and testing analysis. During the last 10 years, I have tutored Math, Physics, Chemistry, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, English, and French.
Teaching Style
During the past 10 years, I have tutored students from all ages and all levels. Every student has a different way of learning, however, they all can learn. It is my responsibility to make sure the information is delivered to the student the way they understand it. I believe communication is the key to success. I consider the student's success in their acadmics as my success in tutoring. With the number of students growing in the classrooms, teachers can’t give every student the attention they need. That is why some students are left behind. I can bridge the learning gap. My long experience tutoring has increased my ability to identify the students learning needs. No matter how difficult a student is to teach, I have the ability to communicate the love and passion that I have for learning. I am understanding and affirming, humble, patient, encouraging and trustworthy. Although I am an intellectual achiever, I know what it feels like to be left behind or to not understand a concept. Even when a student is doing well, I work harder to bring out the very best. My goal doesn’t stop on helping the student understand the subject and get a good grade, but also enjoy learning and desire to learn more. Tutoring for me is not a job; it is a mission. I am passionate about learning and helping others learn. I believe that learning shouldn’t be a source of struggle and pain to students. That is why I do my best to ensure they enjoy learning. I am reliable. My students always find me when they need me. I go out of my way to make sure they get the help they need when they need it. I am always on time for their tutoring session and make sure they get the most out of it.
