Experience Summary
I began my professional career in land surveying. After the birth of my two sons I revised my goals toward an educational experience at the elementary level. I completed my practicum in Elementary Education and performed a year of substitute teaching in both the elementary and middle school levels. Since that time I went on to complete a secondary degree in mathematics with a certification in secondary level education. I have been teaching at the elementary school, middle school, and high school levels for a private high school for students with learning differences for the past eleven years.
Teaching Style
I prefer to have a working relationship with my students that is based on mutual respect and understanding. Beyond this I employ more than one type of teaching in order to reach a variety of student learning styles. For example, if the student requires alternate learning opportunities such reintroduction of a concept through visuals and/or manipulatives. I also prefer to be organized, on time and
prepared with materials.
