Experience Summary
Throughout my life I have been extremely dedicated to the education process, for both myself and others. I received my BA in 2007 with a double major in American Studies and Film. I am currently an advanced degree student studying towards a Master's in Library and Information Science. My chosen professional field and my personal experiences have made me a literacy advocate. I have been writing high level essays and research papers for the past five years; this has taught me grammatical and stylistic skills that enable me to teach Language Arts at all levels. Furthermore, I have been tutoring general and SAT level reading, writing and math for students K-12 for the last two years.
Teaching Style
Teaching and helping students grow is my passion. I work well with students of all age groups and believe that everyone has the potential to succeed. I understand that everyone learns in different ways and accommodate myself to my students' learning styles. I try to explain all subjects to their fullest extent in a critical, analytical, hands-on manner and make sure my students have a strong foundation of knowledge they can build on today and in the future. I am very patient, thorough and easy-going. I strive to provide the best education and learning environment possible for all my students.
